Wireless Mobile Utility App Reviews

Not worth it!!

This app does not connect, it keeps telling me to check my wifi and to do something in settings but i wont let me due to wifi. This is an app that needs a lot of work to make it user friendly and so it works with the camera with out slowness or any issues. I do not recommend using this better off with out it.

Serves the purpose

Great app, works very fine for me, honestly dont understand why some people rate it low

Only pics no video

It would help oh so much if you could make it possible for us to download video instead of just pictures. It would help a ton! Other wise, its a good app.

Hopeful for the future

This app has potential. Connection to wifi can be a bit glitchy. I would REALLY like to be able to delete photos from the app! Now THAT would be helpful.

WHY

Great app but I just wish we could download videos!!!!

Does the job, but...

Not really beautiful app. It does what it was mean to do thats all. Works fine with my d5300 and iPhone 5s. But why the hell is it all my d5300 can do with the wifi ? I have to transfert first to my iPhone then from my iPhone to my Mac... Not really user friendly... It could have been so much better....

Still much work to do

There is still much improvements to do with this app. It freezes very easily and it is almost impossible to download pictures to an iPhone 5S because of its slow speed.

More options please

Please add an option when selecting multiple pictures to be able to download them at full resolution instead of one by one

Needs urgent improvements

New version: still unuseful. The idea is perfect, but the app (and the Wu-1a itself) is almost useless as you cant control camera settings like shutter speed, aperture, ISO and release modes. Come on, Nikon App Developers, it cant be that hard! Does Nikon wanna sell millions of this unit? Just improve this app and its done!

Needs to improve.

The app does not allow downloading pictures from the camera in original size.

Good

Its very useful device.

Could be much better

This app acts like a simple shutter release remote. It doesnt control shutter speed, apperture nor ISO. Also no intervalometer. Heads up Nikon, if youre making an app to control the camera then it should truly control it. Include these feats in the next updates and itll be amazing.

Language app

Please!!! How to change the language this app for English??? Please, help me...

Good concept, bad app

The concept is good, but the app is just downright awful. Why on earth can you only download downsampled versions of the pictures stored on your camera?! Instead of the full 24mp of my D750 I only get pictures with a resolution of 1620x1080.

iPhone 6 support still missing

Please add iPhone 6 support - quickly. Thanks.

Terrible picture quality

The app is useless. The pictures look worst than from the iphone 6 camera. I use a nikon d5300. Please add "original image" recommended size and vga is not enough!!!!!

Inútil

Não consigo conectar. Totalmente non user-friendly. Why bother, really?

Works so well! (In Canada too)

Just got my D5300 and installed the app. Within 1 min I was taking pics using the phone as a remote wireless trigger and you can even review any photo on the memory card. So cool. Also not sure what version of iOS or app the other reviewers were using but Im in Toronto, Canada and this app works no problem

Hugely disappointing

This functionality is critically important to me. I feel misled and let down by Nikon. I bought my D7100 and wifi adapter a few months ago, and it rarely is able to transfer photos from my camera to my iPhone. Among many faults, the connection to the camera frequently fails when I attempt to transfer photos. Often, I dont even get that far. It fails at every step. I wanted this to help post photos online for personal reasons and also for professional social media purposes. Nikon owes its customers far better than this. Having a reliable way to conveniently access photos is fundamental. Get it right! This failure undermines your reputation. And, as stated by others, its a separate and significant disappointment that there isnt iPad compatibility.

Rudimentary - Huge Disappointment

Although you can take a picture (not a movie) with this app, there is not much more here. I also own a Panasonic ZS30, and the difference between that IOS app and the Nikon is huge. The panasonic app lets you set flash mode, self timer, macro mode, aspect ratio, picture size, quality, AF mode, metering mode, burst shooting, colour mode, & video recording quality. It also lets you zoom in & out. It has other advanced functions that leave the Nikon app far behind in terms of functionality. I expected much better from Nikon - it seems they are resting on their laurels.
