I used to have no problems connecting this to my iPhone. Have had this app for years. I last used it in September 2024 to transfer photos to my phone. I’ve been trying the last few days (March 2025) and it will NOT connect to my camera. Won’t recognize it, even with the Nikon WMU wifi turned on on my phone. Super frustrating. Deleting app.

Used this app for years. No longer working on P900 to download pics from camera to iPhone.

Tried to use this app with my Z6 and it’s essentially broken. The interface is so plain and featureless it looks like it was made for $10 in an hour. It took 10 seconds for any button to respond when I pressed it. When I finally got to viewing the pics on my camera, the app crashed as soon as I tried to download any. This app is garbage and I can’t believe it’s Nikon’s official solution for getting pics from your camera to your phone.

You would think for the price to have the Bluetooth chip, the app would work to transfer pictures. This app needs to be updated and is super slow. It’s frustrating when all I want to do is transfer my pictures to my phone

It seemed confusing in the beginning, and it took a second to figure out. But once you do get it figured out it’s an amazing app. Your camera should have a wifi if it’s compatible. Connect your phone or laptop to the cameras wifi. Once it loads in you can view all of your cameras photos on your device and you have to option to save them to your device. It takes a while to download just make sure your screen does NOT shut off otherwise you’ll have to restart. You can also go to the take photos option on the app while your device is connected and take pictures on your device through the camera. I genuinely really appreciated this app.

This app used to work ok but only that. Now I can’t even get it to connect without interruption. Takes forever to download as well.

Have an old nikon rarely use. Brought it out and loaded this app on phone to use with the wireless connector. Well it loses connection never stays connected crashes over and over. Bow a worthless app

This app does not work. I’ve tried everything and it will not connect to my phone. Wast of money

I have a Nikon coolpix S6900 this app only will let u download photos not the videos not sure why but I can’t find another app that will connect to my camera 🤦🏽‍♀️ and I can’t download videos

I have a nikon d3300 and for whatever reason( it could be my Wu-1a ) my phone always loses connection while I try to transfer photos, ive had it for years and never had issues until about 6 months

This app used to be amazing! I could connect my D3300 to the WiFi adapter and the photos would load nearly instantly. Now, it constantly disconnects and on the rare occasion that it loads *some* photos, the download may or may not come through. I suggest to use a computer instead.

I love my Nikon but this app is terrible! It went from being unreliable to just being a worthless waste of time. I’m getting a SD card reader to get my pictures off the camera instead.

I try downloading the pictures from the camera to my phone. However, it keeps saying connection disconnected.

I went to Reddit and searched. The instructions were idiot proof. I connected in seconds and downloaded my test shots from my new for me D5300.

I’ve tried all of the Nikon apps. I wouldn’t rely on them.

They’ve abandoned owners of the older models. My D7200 works fine and I don’t want to buy a different camera I just really wish this app worked. It did for a while but now it’s completely stopped working. They seem to have abandoned this app and its users. Not cool, Nikon.

This app does not work

For this being an app that goes to a Camera that’s well over $1000. It seems to never function. The connectivity always ends up disconnecting it never stays connected longer than four images to be able to transfer over. You can’t seem to download completely it cancels halfway out there’s no updates for the app ever I’ve had the camera for over three years and I’ve never seen one app update seems like the company just somehow forgot the development of their actual app to be able to use for their phone. All I know is this makes me want to buy a completely new camera just so that I can have a functioning app.

Used to work on my IP6s with a P900. Doesn’t get pass the negotiation screen on my camera with a IP13. Needs an update, but I doubt it’s supported anymore.

this app is horrible. i can’t believe i spent over an hour trying to download 50 photos. shameful that the company made and sold these devices, and can’t do anything to make this app functional. it worked 5 years ago. it’s great if you want to waste hours of your life trying to get a few photos off your camera. simply pathetic

This app always connects quickly and works well EXCEPT it is infuriating that if you download more than one photo, it downloads them at a reduced size! I didn’t find this out until after I had downloaded a batch of very special photos, then deleted them from the camera card and reformatted the card. The full resolution photos were then lost forever, and I was stuck with 1440x1080 images. If you want full resolution photos saved to your device, you have to download each photo individually, and select to save it at original size. This is a ridiculously enormous flaw. It takes forever to go in and select a photo, select “download”, and select the size, then repeat. It’s much quicker to use a card reader.

Doesn’t work for videos

This is the worst app I’ve ever witnessed in my life and the wu-a1 adapter is trash along with it. If you can actually get it to connect to your phone then you have about 10 seconds before it disconnects again. I wish I could give no stars.

App stopped registering that I was connected to the wireless output device, which means I cannot download photos through it

Doesn’t give me the option to download videos, only photos. Thought that was weird.

This app used to work but stopped working with the new iPhone update. Fix it, Nikon. I need to use my camera.

This app do not work in the 17.0 IOS Version, do not connect in the Wi-Fi network to transfer content! Please fix this bug!

Does not work with the later iPhones OS 2023

This app is an unmitigated disaster! As a decades long owner of Nikon film & digital products it is beyond me how this app isn’t just eliminated. Why would you put something out there that you know frustrates your clients and harms your brand? How difficult can it be to correct the code in the app?…Apparently they’re not up to the task anymore. If you can’t achieve the objective in house, then hire outside talent. Going forward it looks like I’ll have to consider Canon for my mirrorless purchase as customer support on something as simple as this app is non existent. Vote with your $$$$$ & send your message that way. Maybe someone will get a clue. Sad to see such an iconic brand come to this. I’m forced to assign a 1 star rating just to publish the review, but I’ll certainly give the app 5 thumbs down. Buyer beware.

Doesn’t work!

This app used to work, it no longer does! Get it together Nikon and get it fixed! I should be able to wirelessly get my pictures from my D7100!

I have a Nikon D3200 and a little Bluetooth device to connect to my phone to transfer pictures only with this app and it’s so bad it transfers 2/10 pictures and stops and stutters and fails. App is super slow at this point get a laptop to transfer videos as well. Horrible app.

Every time i go to my rental/hotel to upload nice pictures taken throughout my vacation. It never fails… i go to upload 50 to 100 photos sometimes even less amounts like 20 or 10, and the app gives an issue and downloads 1-5 of the photos and then messes up, and i have to keep retrying to get all the photos i want to transfer to my iphone. DO BETTER NIKON

Used to work great, now it keeps getting disconnected and doesn’t download any pictures anymore. Disappointing.

Nikon user for 40+ years and a former NPS member. Have tried for months to simply connect my D750 to my iPhone. Phone recognizes the camera wifi but the camera always says “Waiting for connection” but it never connects. Have been on countless forums, read the manual, reset, updated firmware, new charged battery, everything but nothing works. Nikon software has always been so-so at it’s best but this is awful. Before you put something out on a professional camera test it first and be certain it actually works.

Keeps “ disconnecting” when pictures are about to download . Lags in general , especially the picture snapping from the app

App does not work will not connect to the Nikon wi-fi full of bugs

Dear Nikon, Dont care if you broke or not, but you clearly don’t give a crap in keeping your loyal customers. The wifi photo transfer on this crappy little app is terrible—it crashes and disconnects for no reason. The app is not even mediocre level—its complete crap. I’m switching to Canon and Sony now. Bye Nikon.

Connects just fine, pictures transfer to my phone with no issues, here’s my thing, why don’t my videos show up? Can’t see or transfer them and snapbridge is useless…

Did Nikon just abandon this app? I have an older Nikon D5200 with all kinds of zoom lenses and they all work great so I am not buying a new camera any time soon. I guess I’m out of luck with this old app with the last update being 4 years ago, and just have to resort to using an SD card reader.

Used to work great but refuses to connect to photos on camera now. What used to be a quick transfer process is an absolute headache now. Do not recommend.
